Dietitian Bio 

Cassandra Sampson MS, RD, LDN, MIEP is a Registered Dietitian, Licensed Nutritionist, and a Mindful & Instinctive Eating Practitioner. After recovering from a personal battle with binge eating disorder, Cassandra has dedicated her career to teaching the art of mindful and instinctive eating. Cassandra now owns a telehealth-based private practice offering one-on-one nutrition counseling, group classes and online courses.

 Cassandra is a dynamic force in the field of health and wellness. Since 2013, Cassandra has worked alongside hundreds of clients on their personal journeys toward making peace with food. Each nutrition service is rooted in the principles of mindful and instinctive eating, which is a judgment-free eating technique that ultimately reduces health risks by preventing disordered eating patterns and psychological distress. Cassandra’s role as a dietitian has shifted from handing out meal plans to helping others heal their relationship with food.

Cassandra holds a Master’s Degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida. She has served as a nutrition expert for local media outlets to deliver accurate and trustworthy information to communities across southwest Florida. Cassandra has also written a cookbook, she has been teaching fitness classes since 2009 and has fallen in love with yoga and meditation. Cassandra's most recent adventure has been creating and publishing The Intuitive Eating Journal: 30 Mindful and Instinctive Thoughts to Start Your Day, now available on Amazon! 

Professional Background 

Cassandra's education includes: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from USF
  • Graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from FIU
  • Completion of the 37-week ACEND-Accredited Dietetic Internship program with Aramark
  • Passing the Registration Examination for Dietitians 
  • Maintaining continuing education as per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Florida Department of Health
